Some puppy websites are vague... you can't tell who the people are or how many dogs they have. They sound very professional, but is it just a business to them? Are the dogs their pets and are they really getting the LOVE they need through human interactions and room to wrestle and play? For us, this is not just a little family "business", even though we are very professional and detailed, but more like family-time and family-teamwork with our pets and babies. Therefore, we have included this 'About Us' section, so you can get to know us better. After all, the first 8 weeks of a puppy's life are crucial to their human-bonding and personality-forming, so you should know WHO your puppy spent that time with!
We carefully chose our Porties who would carry the beautiful qualities of their breed--in structure and health, with good hips, eyes, and hearts, and NO allergies! Our puppies are born in our home. They enjoy PawTree dogfood and supplements fortified with all the vitamins, minerals, and probiotics they need (More about this on our "Health Secrets" page). Our family watches over mommies and babies very carefully, with many caring hands loving them.
We love meeting our Portie owners. We enjoy the 6 week old video-call for our "Choose-your-puppy-time", and the 8 week old pick-up time, as well as the interaction for months with our very excited Portie Lovers. People drive or fly in from all over the country to pick up their new family members. We even have puppies in other countries! If you cannot come to our home physically, you can still enjoy the serenity through pictures, while taking advantage of our wonderful personal transporter. She can bring your new baby from our door to yours. If our "home-grown" and "family-way" of doing things refreshes you, then read on.

Jeff and I(Michele) met at Grand Canyon University many years ago. He went on to graduate school, and then we soon married. It's been 31 years now and we have ten precious children. The above picture includes our children, two spouses and 3 grandbabies =)! Jeff works at home and owns a commercial roofing business and trains those interested in starting their own roofing company (...are you interested? Just ask him about it!). We have enjoyed our pets over the years together. We’ve had dogs, horses (enjoy raising, training, and riding into the sunset), cats, rabbits, hamsters, two goats, one pig, Doris our milk cow, and chickens..., not to mention the wild animals in the woods i.e. raccoons, skunks, coyotes, opossums, foxes, etc. These animals have added excitement to our home-schooling years for sure! And we are home-bodies. Someone's always home. My husband had pet dogs growing up and I ALWAYS wanted a dog of my own, but never had the opportunity. When we got married, we got a Golden Retriever--she was absolutely beautiful and sweet. After she died, we all decided that every family needs a dog. So we got one. Then another. And another. Years later, there are now seven of us still at home with our Portie-group. There is always great anticipation while waiting for that next litter of puppies to come. We have a guessing game for the litter size. Porties are our favorite breed and raising puppies is a family affair! |

OUR HOME TEAM... Here they are from Left to right--Joy(19), Jared(10), Israel(15), Daniel(13), and Hope(17). What a delight they are to us! Joy is my pick-up-the-pieces girl which may include making supper, packing lunches, store runs, vet runs, getting up in the night with puppies, you name it. What a great way to learn how to run a home! She is also continuing her education through Restore Training. Hope is finishing her last year of high school at home, as well as my website partner and picture-taker (I can't take a picture of moving puppies to save my life!). Israel is also at home doing high school as well as Jeff's right hand man. Daniel and Jared are in our little church school over the hill. Having these two in school is new for me; I have been homeschooling ALL of my children for the last 24 years until recently! When the boys are home, you can often find them playing with puppies and golfing with the doggies on our large mini-golf course stretched across our acres.
We enjoy singing and playing various instruments including piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, and flute. We also enjoy volleyball, softball, football, basketball, horseback riding, snowboarding, ice skating, gymnastics, and the water: swimming, wakeboarding, skiing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. And I must say, we love Jesus, and we love sending our Portie-babies all over the nation as a little blessings of His creative love! |
