Dear Keehns...How can I properly thank you for the exceptional care you gave to my precious Portie pup, TRUE? When he arrived, he settled in quickly and has been simply a joy - full of zippy playfulness and cuddly love! The vet announced, “Perfect pup!” when I took him for his first visit, and his seamless transition into my home is a testament to the loving upbringing you gave him in his early weeks of life. He’s given my grown family a common thread and brought abundant light into our lives. He is a TRUE blessing! This is my 2nd Portie, and I named him True because to me there is no truer manifestation of God's love than through a PWD!
Much love, Carly Update...True fills my heart with such happiness; I can't even tell you! While I'm teaching, he spends his days at Grandma's house. In the evenings, he and I have our adventures walking through town or the dog park. His company(55 lbs now) puts me at ease. Porties are eternal smilers!!
Our pup from Keehn Country Porties has been nothing but a blessing! The first time I spoke with Michele on the phone I just knew they were the family I wanted to get my pup from. I had no doubts about the puppy I was getting because I knew he was in good hands. Preacher already LOVES the water, playing with other pups, and is confident when meeting strangers. The whole process was very professional and the 7-month wait was so worth it because he is the best Portie. I would not hesitate one bit to get Preacher a playmate in the future from Keehn-Country Porties! Thank you again for all you have done and you have blessed me beyond measure!

Drew and I had the pleasure of working with the Keehn Family to add our precious Stevie Girl to our family! From the beginning, Michele made us comfortable and confident. We picked Stevie out in person and the Keehns were a blessing as we were there for over an hour. We knew we would love Stevie, but we were not prepared for how much she would impress us. She is brilliant and patient, with a little sass, that gives her the perfect personality! She's eager to please and so playful with all people and other dogs. We can't wait for our years ahead with Stevie and cannot thank the Keehns enough! We have been raving about them and the whole experience to all our friends!
Update...Hi Keehns! We were just talking about what a great experience we had with you. We are beyond thankful for Stevie and every moment we've had with her and can't wait for more! David and I could not be more pleased with our PWD purchased from the Keehns. It was obvious that great care had been taken from the time of birth until we picked up our girl. She was well-socialized and happy-go-lucky. She immediately bonded with our other dog. We would definitely purchase another puppy from the Keehns!
Update...We are so in love with Izzy. She is 47 lbs now. We are 100% blessed. She has the BEST disposition. She passed her AKC Good Citizenship training and is now registered to do pet therapy with LOVE ON A LEASH! We enjoy going to our local regional hospital. I wish you could see everyone's eyes light up when Izzy enters the room. When we leave, other floors and departments call the volunteer office to request a visit. We will be in the market for another Portie with the Keehns for sure when my other dog crosses the rainbow bridge. ~David and Angela
I am so thankful to have found the Keehn family! They were great during the process and I am so thankful to have been blessed with our Portie, Ace. Ace is such a sweet boy and has adjusted so well. Our pug and him are best friends and enjoy spending time together. My favorite thing about him is how happy and loving he is and how he always wants to be by my side. Very comforting, especially since I work from home. He is like a teddybear--so soft. I could not imagine having a different dog nor working with a different family than the Keehn family. I would highly recommend them and their Porties!! They are wonderful.

We are so grateful to the Keehns for our Lexy!! She is ALL that we wanted--beautiful, big, confident, loves to cuddle and go on adventures with the children! Lexy was definitely family raised and very comfortable with children. I never worried about her with my little ones. She's an adult now and the marks of how she was raised with loving care, good socialization and health still follow her. The Keehns really care about their dogs and they really are their pets. They put so much time into loving their puppies. Michele was a great communicator and is very informative about her dogs and puppies. My husband and I chose our Portie, Milo, as the perfect Christmas gift to each other. The Keehns were wonderful, keeping us updated with pictures and answering any questions. The puppies were clean and healthy, and their surroundings were always sparkling clean as well. The day we picked up Milo, the Keehns were ready to greet us on time, Milo bathed, documents ready to sign, snacks ready to eat, and even a gallon of puppy food to take with us to make his transition easier. The whole process was enjoyable and worry-free, and what's most important is that we couldn't be happier with our Milo--smart, fun, and just an adorable PWD. He follows me everywhere I go! Our experience getting our PWD with the Keehn family was wonderful from start to finish. Michele answered all of our questions and was so helpful during the whole process. When we visited to pick out our puppy at 6 weeks old, the entire family was so kind and gave us the time we needed in their living room to find the perfect fit for us. I even brought my mother and two little girls and had my husband on a video call. We could tell that all animals were very well cared for and loved. When we came back to pick up Molly, they had just finished giving her a bath and she was ready to head to our home.

Dear Keehns...We have fallen in love with our sweet Sofia. She is the smartest, sweetest, and most well-adjusted puppy that we have ever owned. She became part of the family and bonded with our children (ages 5 and 7) immediately. It was very clear that she was well-socialized in the early weeks. In addition, she is extremely hypo-allergenic and we have had no problems with our family's pet-dander allergies! What a bonus!! I want all to know that they will not go wrong with these PWDs--the Keehn family produces top-notch pups! Thank you!!

We could not visit our puppy before we got him so I was a bit worried, but Michele and Hope made the whole experience easy. They sent pictures often. We were able to do a video call where they described all puppies' features and personalities as we watched. Balto is the sweetest and most well-behaved puppy I have seen. He loves to play with the kids and also enjoys a good cuddle. From the moment we saw him, it was obvious that the puppies were well cared for and loved.
Update...Balto is being spoiled by the whole family. He plays tug O' war with the boys and cuddles with Amy. He is so smart and teaching him tricks takes almost no time. Hello Keehns =) Penny is doing so well and is insanely smart! She's doing some Petsmart training and excelling in it. We love her so much! I chose y'all as my breeder because the process was so easy and you made it so enjoyable. I hadn't spoken to a breeder that felt like a friend until we spoke on the phone. I was thrilled that she was the puppy I got because she was so cute. I couldn't wait to take her home! My favorite thing about Penny is how she sits in my lap after a nap and we just cuddle.

Hello Keehns... We are happy customers indeed! You communicated very well throughout the whole process of getting our dear Portie, Belle. We also appreciated how you wanted to know the type of life she would have with us; it showed you cared about her future. We were very glad to come visit to see where it all happens. We could tell you raise your Porties with love and do everything you can to make them ready for their new homes. As far as Belle, she loves people and other dogs and wants to be everyone's friend. She is very smart and is easy to teach. We have considered getting one of her cousins, but don't have the right place for her yet.

We love our Portuguese Water Dog, Duke! He ended up at 53 lbs. He has been such a great addition to our family. He has such a spunky personality that we love. He is very smart and loves to socialize with other dogs and humans. We have allergies and PWD's are an awesome breed for someone who is allergic to dogs! Thank you for everything!! Tsuki is with me all the time. The thing I like most is that there is not a mean bone in her body. She is one of the happiest dogs I have ever met. She is completely affectionate. I am training her to be a therapy dog. She qualifies without even trying! She is great going anywhere and gets along with everyone. She's an absolute nut and tons of fun, and can be mischievous, while thinking I don't see her. She gets really excited whenever she sees children. Please let your children know that she loved being raised around them! ~Liz

When we got to the Keehns, Jeff and Michele came out of the door with the most gorgeous puppy I have ever seen. He immediately melted my heart. It was love at first sight. I could tell Cody had been well socialized. He never whined, or made a whimper on the way back to Georgia. He has settled in with our other dogs very nicely. Cody sleeps with me. The first night, he slept all night and every night after that. I’ve never had a puppy sleep through the night before. I was expecting the first week to be a nightmare of getting up with Cody to go outside with him to pee. But he proved me wrong! What an excellent puppy, bred by a wonderful family--the Keehns. I wanted to let you know that Barry is settling in nicely with our family. The kids were so surprised they didn't think we were going to get to keep him! They all just ADORE him and he is very tolerant with them! After just one wakeful night, he has been sleeping comfortably in his crate at night. He loves going outside and jumping in the leaves and meeting his new neighbors. He is very good at sitting and is learning to come and stay. He remains super cuddly and loves to spread out next to me on the floor while I work or lay with the kids while they read to him. He continues to be Anna's best friend. When I saw and heard about little Ellie, I knew she was the one for me. We are so happy we found the Keehn family. The whole experience was amazing and the process was seamless. Luna had excellent care and attention from the start. Our vet confirmed this. We were able to meet Luna's mother. Michele listened to all my concerns and needs about size, coat, temperament, and how a puppy might fit into our family. Then we came to meet the puppies, and how would we ever pick one?! Again Michele and Hope helped us. We are having so much fun and still in puppy-love! I flew across the U.S. for my puppy. I drove out into the country, walked into the Keehn's home, and had all these children looking at me sweetly.
